This is a beautiful barn. It's one of 2 raised on my former farm, and I helped raise them both. The Amish welcome help from the "English" at their raisings if you have something to offer such as a chainsaw, brute strength, etc. The members of this settlement are very friendly and worth getting to know. Our community is lucky to have them here.

Quite a handsome structure. Do the Amish get together and build it as a communal project? It would be interesting to see the work in progress.

Hi Jan, The Amish here do get together for barn and house raisings. It is quite a sight.
