Geese invade the Northeast

This flock flew over the river by the house yesterday. I suspect there were a couple thousand but I couldn't fit them all in the picture

A little closer view

And closer

On the BIG beaver pond...this is but a fraction of that flock

So beautiful! And now you and I need to figure out how to upload movies to our blogs.

I'm sure these geese were making some beautiful noise.

Wow, what a sight, eh?
We've been graced with the awesome sight of thousands upon thousands of Snow Geese this year. We were a little shocked as we usually only see the regular geese and suddenly there were big drifts of white everywhere for about a few days. Fantastic sight!

Cathy, thanks...I have no talent where video is concerned, but my secret weapon (Liz) will do it for me if I am nice to her. lol
They hung out on the river in front of the house all night and we could hear them talking whenever the trucks quieted down for a minute. It was nice...peaceful and soothing.

Steve, this has been the second most abundant that I have seen them.

tina, really something! I haven't seen a singe snow this year! Sometimes we see thousands and I have been watching. Guess they are all visiting you.
